Dr. Kazi, a well-versed Psychiatrist, has extensive training and expertise in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, and mental health. She specializes in the treatment and therapy of depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, schizophrenia, panic disorders, generalized anxiety disorder, substance abuse, and more.
As the Medical Director of Mid Cities Psychiatry in Euless, Texas, she believes in learning about patients individually through time and compassion solving their issues by understanding their life history and internal psyche.
Continually learning and practicing adequate mental health knowledge, Dr. Kazi utilizes a comprehensive and individualized approach for mental health care. Trained to use holistic treatment, her goal is to improve psychiatric care for her patients, which may include the continuation, changes, and possible discontinuation of the medicine. She, along with her team, conducts psychiatric evaluations using on-site state-of-the-art technology providing results at the time of the patients’ visit.
A member of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, the doctor is board-certified in Psychiatry with added qualifications in Geriatric Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists.
Throughout her academic career, Dr. Kazi completed her dual-residency program in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut in 1998 and continued on to complete her fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at New York University in 1999.
She has been in private practice for over 20 years, having served in various roles, including Medical Director of TelePsych Services at Asana Integrated Medical Group of CA, Medical Director of Short-Term Care Unit at University Behavioral Health of Denton, Denton, Texas, Medical Director of Inpatient Services at Princeton House Behavioral System, Princeton, New Jersey, Chief of Staff at St. Barnabas Behavioral Health Center, Jackson, New Jersey, Staff Psychiatrist at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence, Rhode Island, as well as a Proprietor & Provider in private practice.
In 2013, she moved from New Jersey to the greater DFW area to be near her family. She immediately opened Mid Cities Psychiatry and the practice has been growing ever since.
She and her team are dedicated to providing the best mental health services across the state of Texas through medication management, counseling, and implementing innovative treatments. Their goal is to improve the quality of people’s lives.
