Mark is a psychotherapist based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where he is licensed as a
Clinical Social Worker and Chemical Dependency Counselor. He holds a Master’s degree in
Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology &
Sociology from Southern Methodist University.
Originally from New Orleans, Mark has a diverse background working in private practice,
federal, state, and county agencies, as well as non-profits throughout the DFW area. He has
extensive experience serving a variety of special populations including veterans, the elderly,
individuals with severe mental health challenges, medical disabilities, those in recovery,
adolescents, and the homeless.
Mark’s expertise encompasses a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma,
codependency, men’s issues, addiction recovery, substance abuse, obsessive-compulsive
tendencies, relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, divorce, aging, sexual issues, and
coping with disabilities. Passionate about addiction recovery, he employs a variety of
therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment
therapy, motivational interviewing, systems theory, and solution-focused therapy.
Outside of his professional life, Mark is a father of four, an avid bass guitarist, and enjoys hiking,
gardening, and following local sports teams.
